His work translates as a vector of personal expression, of self-affirmation as well as a path towards increased emotional intelligence stemming from an awareness of mental health. Holder of a master’s degree in graphic design as well as a thesis dealing with the analogy between the formatting of a book and psychology. She created Maalavidaa in 2016, both as a catalyst and an artistic mindset.
What are your core values?
Introspection, creativity and sharing are at the heart of my approach. I attach great importance to mental health and how art can be a tool for exploring and expressing emotions. Authenticity and kindness guide my practice, whether in my artistic work or in the way I convey my message.
What does your dream project look like?
I often dream of a physical space where art, psychology and well-being meet. An immersive place where people could experience the benefits of color and connect with their emotions through interactive installations, digital works and sensory experiences. I often imagine it as a project that could transcend the rational and bring greater knowledge of the inner Self.
Describe your work in one sentence.
A visual and emotional exploration that translates the invisible into colors and movements, inviting reflection and vulnerability.
Why would you like to be known?
Personal recognition, although appreciated, is not at the forefront of my practice. What is important for me is rather the recognition of the impact my work can have on others. If my works, research or speaking can help someone better understand their emotions, feel seen, heard or simply breathe for a moment, then I will have accomplished something valuable that is unquantifiable.
What impact does your artistic practice have?
My work acts as a bridge between art and psychology, highlighting the influence of colors on our emotions. It opens a dialogue on introspection and mental health, and creates spaces where one can feel, understand, and reconnect not only to oneself, but also to others. Through my creations and research, I seek to offer visual and symbolic tools to accompany people in their personal journey.
