MAISON ALCAN GETS A CREATIVE MAKEOVER
Housing more than a century of Montreal history, Maison Alcan is reinventing itself. Dedicated to exploring the future of entertainment, the 20,000-square-foot landmark continues to showcase Montreal as a creative and technological hub. The vast hall welcomes visitors in a setting where art deco and modernity harmoniously coexist, while the Atrium, sitting under an impressive glass roof, serves as a multifunctional space where art and tech converge to inspire innovative experiences.
LDNMRK produced and curated the project, collaborating with several artists to help update the iconic building.
Artist Marie Claude Marquis designed what is arguably the most beautiful bathroom in the city. Jeremy Shantz created towering columns of light that reflect majestically on the aluminum walls, paying homage to Alcan's heritage. Ola Volo created a striking piece on the brick wall of the Atrium. And digital artist Fvckrender took over the main wall with a spectacular creation featuring holographic crystals.
Together, the artists are transforming the historic site, blending art and entrepreneurial innovation to create cultural and commercial value for generations to come.
