ETHEREAL DIGITAL ART WITH FUTURISTIC ACCENTS
Montreal artist FVCKRENDER, born Frédéric Duquette, pushes the limits of imagination and technology while blurring the boundaries between physical and virtual worlds with his bold works that offer a unique immersive experience. His work, which he considers himself a form of therapy, has been exhibited in prestigious auction galleries such as Christie’s and Sotheby’s. The recent success of his FVCK_CRYSTAL project has generated millions in revenue. His collaborations include renowned brands and artists such as Ledger, Supreme, Hypebeast, The Hundreds, Swarovski, Dior, Avant Arte, Spotify, and TIME. In 2025, he co-founds the Foil Gallery in Montreal, a space that aims to bridge the gap between digital art and traditional art while promoting a community spirit thanks to its integrated café.
What are your core values?
I would define them as curiosity, exploration, persistence, and resilience. These principles guide everything I do, both personally and professionally.
What does your dream project look like?
My dream project would bring together digital artists from all around the world, without borders or limitations. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable evolution of digital art: we’ve gone from being seen as “geeks” to being recognized as true, legitimate artists. I want to keep contributing to the elevation of the digital art scene. The beauty of this medium lies in its accessibility: anyone with an internet connection can experience it. Of course, a good computer and a solid connection always help, because… well, (f*ck) renders.
Describe your work in one sentence.
I can’t really sum it up in one sentence! I just love experimenting, exploring new aesthetics, and constantly creating. I don’t ever plan to stop.
What would you like to be recognized for?
I’d like to be recognized for my desire to innovate and my persistence in pushing ideas beyond what’s expected. When I believe in something, I give it everything. I don’t stop until it feels right. I’m always exploring new directions and possibilities, and even if I can be a bit obsessive when I’m deep into a project, that drive is what leads to meaningful work. I’m also lucky to have a partner and a team who keep me balanced and remind me where to focus my energy so the vision actually comes to life.
What impact does your artistic practice have?
On a personal level, it’s been transformative: it kept me on the right path and opened doors I never could have imagined. I feel incredibly grateful to share this journey with the people I love. As for others, I hope my work resonates with them and inspires them to follow their own ideas with passion and perseverance. When something sticks in your mind, pursue it, work on it every day until it feels right. But most importantly, never stop and never give up.
